Kenyan authorities suspend tourist visits Hell’s Gate National Park in the Rift Valley after flash flood kills 7

Authorities in Kenya have suspended visits to the gorges of the famous Hell’s Gate National park in the Rift Valley after six tourists and their driver were killed in a flash flood.

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) spokesman Paul Udoto, has revealed that five Kenyans of Indian descent, an Indian national and their Kenyan driver tragically died in Sunday evening incident. Six bodies have so far been recovered.

According to Kenyan authorities, although it may not be raining in the gorges, rainfall from surrounding areas can build up and rush through the restricted space.
