On her first full day in the country, Ms Marriott took the opportunity to explore her surroundings, visiting Karura Forest near Nairobi which she described as “an amazing place”.
Later, she was welcomed to Kenya at Hemingways Hotel by British Chamber of Commerce Kenya Chairman Graham Shaw, who Ms Marriott said she was looking forward to working with.
Darren Gillen, Chairman of Business Ireland Kenya (BIK) formally welcomed the new High Commissioner to Kenya through his Twitter account.
