Susie Kitchens attends pre-departure briefing for Kenya’s 2019 Commonwealth scholars

Yesterday, Deputy British High Commissioner to Kenya, Susie Kitchens and British Council Kenya Country Director Jill Coates attended the pre-departure briefing for the 2019 Commonwealth scholars at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi.

They were joined by Darius Ogutu, the Director of Policy, Partnerships, University and East Africa Community Affairs at the Ministry of Education Science and Technology, London Education Attachè Dorothy Kamwilu and other Commonwealth alumni to provide support and advice the 34 scholars.

Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships are aimed at talented individuals who have the potential to make change. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) offers around 800 awards for postgraduate study and professional development each year.
