On Tuesday afternoon, the Kenya Climate Innovation Centre (KCIC) were visited by Irish Ambassador Fionnuala Quinlan.

She got the opportunity to hear of about KCIC’s contribution towards a green economy through the technical and financial support they provide to clean tech enterprises.

Ambassador Quinlan thanked the KCIC for the “fascinating tour”, adding that Irish Aid were delighted to partner with them on the Climate Launch Pad (CLP) to support innovative climate-focused start-ups.

The CLP is a competition for start ups that has been designed to unlock the clean tech potential in the world. Itn brings together people with green ideas that have not been in existence for more than 2 years with no substantial revenue to date.
