BATUK help with church roof construction and recognise civilian staff with awards

Members of the Royal Engineer Support Team (REST) from from the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) have supported the Kenyan Airforce in the construction of a roof for the church at their airbase. Over two days, the project was a valuable opportunity for both forces to work together and forge and strenghten relationships.

Back at base, COMD BATUK Col Paul Gilby held a brief with BATUK civilian staff during which he also awarded outstanding team members from various departments.

The awards included the Commander BATUK commendation, Commander BATUK special bonus award and the Commander BATUK Coin and provided a great opportunity to highlight the valuable contribution of civilian staff who work within BATUK.
