On Thursday, BATUK FC hosted a team Laikipia Government XI team.
A highly competitive start to the game was brought to a head when, after 20 minutes, Corporal Farrell broke in behind the defence and was taken down in the box.
Farrell picked himself up and slotted the resulting penalty away to put BATUK FC 1-0 up.
Just before half time, Corporal Farrell doubled BATUK FC’s advantage giving the team from the British Army Training Unit a 2-0 lead at half time.
Soon after the restart, Laikipia Government XI pulled a goal back and just10 minutes later scored the equaliser.
The game remained tight until, with 15 minutes to go, the tricky Farrell was once again fouled in the penalty area and awarded a second penalty which he buried in the back of the net to secure his hat-trick.
BATUK FC hung on to record their second successive 3-2 hat-trick inspired win.
