Yesterday, Self Help Africa Country Director for Kenya Rebecca Amukhoye, had what was she called a “fruitful meeting” with Ambassador Fionnuala Quinlan at the Irish Embassy in Nairobi discussing progressing agribusiness in the East African country.

Also attending the talks was Tricia Wall who is working for Self Help Africa as part of The Gorta-SHA Group.

Discussions included an update on how Irish Aid funding is supporting smallholder famers in Kenya and the sub-Saharan region to boost productivity, add value and access markets.

The talks also explored Self Help Africa’s partnership with Irish Aid supported TruTrade Africa, a social enterprise providing smallholder farmers with a reliable route to market and fair prices for their produce.
