The Daily Mail have reported that Tottenham’s Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama is set to take a British passport.

The newspaper says the 28-year-old Kenyan international delayed a proposed move abroad last year to ensure he qualified for his passport after residing in the UK for over six years.

Last season, despite his season being blighted by a niggling knee injury, Wanyama finished the campaign strongly and played three games in nine days for Kenya in the African Cup of Nations. However, he is expected to leave White Hard Lane in the summer following the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
