The BATUK volunteer organisers of the Support for Little Feet initiative have been awarded a commendation by the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) for ‘service above and beyond what would be expected of BATUK personnel.’

This recognition came as the team continue to provide help and support to communities in Kenya including a recent visit to a rescue centre for girls as young as 11 who have had babies, often through horrific circumstances.

These girls are given a education and life skills and the team described it as “such a warm loving place with adorable babies.”

The volunteers from BATUK donated knitted hats, jumpers and tiny shoes as well as knitted comforters which the babies loved.
