The British High Commission has said it is pleased to be part of this year’s Kenya Trade Week with the theme of Powering Regional Integration through Trade.
Through TradeMark East Africa (TMEA), the UK supports initiatives helping reduce barriers to trade and accelerate regional economic integration in the East African Community.
Britain’s Support to TMEA includes modernisation of the ports in Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, together with the one-stop border posts which are transforming trade & driving integration across the region.
Representing the UK at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre event was Department for International Development (DfID) Country Head Julius Court who said he was “privileged to speak at opening of Kenya Trade Week with Deputy President William Ruto, Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.”
He went on to describe the Trade Week as an “Important topic and exhibit with great products.”
