Irish Embassy recognises ‘outstanding colleague’ and welcomes student volunteers from Cork

Yesterday, Ambassador Fionnuala Quinlan presented the Irish Embassy Commercial Attaché Mr Kenneth Gitonga with a Regional Staff Recognition Award in the Outstanding Colleague category.

The Embassy also welcomed students from the University College Cork Surgeon Noonan Society, a registered charity whose aim is to provide medical aid to Africa, through fundraising and volunteerism.

During the visit, the students shared their experiences of working with the Brighter Communities charity in Kenya and Malawi.
