Kirsty Butlin, from the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) has been visiting Queen Star School, which is run by a local volunteer to help Nanyuki children without the financial means to attend the larger schools in the local area, for the last three months.

Over the last few months, Kirsty has been fundraising and managed to raise Ksh57,000 which has been used to design and create a school uniform for the children as well as funding the next six weeks’ food supply.

Sometimes, the only daily meal the children get is the one provided by the school, so her support has been vital.
