Earlier today British High Commissioner Nic Hailey met with officials from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), including Chairperson Archbishop E Wabukala and CEO Twalib Mbarak, for discussions on the continued partnership between the UK and Kenya in the fight against corruption.
The talks focused on collaboration in asset tracing and recovery, financial investigations and capacity building of Kenyan prosecutors.
Commenting after the meeting, Mr Hailey said: “The UK cares deeply about Kenya’s future. Beating corruption is crucial to that. Good to see the EACC leadership today and stress UK support for their work to put thieves behind bars.”
