British cosmetics, skin care and perfume company Body Shop have revealed that one of their products made with tea tree oil from Kenya has proved incredibly popular with customers, selling one pot every 15 seconds around the world.

It has proved so popular that it is ranked at number four of The Body Shop’s bestselling products overall.

The Tea Tree Oil in the company’s Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is sourced from the Kenya Organic Oil Farmer’s Association. This means that sales of the product provide the Kenyan suppliers with a steady income, as well as helping to develop sustainable farming systems and fund community projects in the local area.

The hand-harvested leaves are gently steam-distilled within 12 hours of harvest for an exceptionally high-quality, purifying essential oil.

Dubbed a ‘veritable miracle’ by users, the mask works to unclog pores, fight bacteria that cause spots, mop up excess oil, and refine the appearance of pores for healthier-looking skin.
