An Oxford coffee shop has made the top spot in a list of the fifty best coffee shops in England.
The list, compiled by travel magazine Big 7, named the city’s Society Café on St Michael’s Street as the number one spot for coffee-lovers.
Votes were cast in poll of Big 7 readers, across their 1.5million social media community and by a panel of coffee experts with online reviews, previous media coverage and notable blogs also influencing the overall rating.
The independent café, which also has branches in Bath and Bristol, opened its Oxford cafe in March 2016, offer speciality coffee sourced directly from the best coffee producing farms in the world including Kenya.
Founder Adrian Campbell-Howard said he is proud to have been recognised as the best.
