An Ethiopian Airlines press conference has revealed that seven British citizens and an Irish national were on board Flight 302 when it crashed after leaving Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa today en route for Nairobi this morning.
The state-owned carrier has confirmed there were no survivors from the flight which was carrying 149 passengers from at least 35 countries and eight crew members.
The Boeing 737-8 MAX was on a regular scheduled flight to Nairobi in Kenya, when it crashed near the town of Bishoftu, some 31 miles (50km) southeast of Addis Ababa.
