The outgoing British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) Force Protection team have carried out a final good deed before heading back to the UK.

Members of the team from 16 Air Assault took part in a final community project to assist the children at Mogra Children’s Centre in Nairobi.

Sacrificing some of their own time, they helped prepare for a new kitchen to be fitted which will be funded by BATUK.

A member of the team said: “it has been hard work stripping out the old kitchen but it has been great to be able to help out the children in this very worthy cause.”

The current team are being replaced by the new Force Protection team from the Irish Guards.
