Nic Hailey joins UN Security Council briefing hosted by CS Juma

On Friday, British High Commissioner Nic Hailey joined fellow diplomats representing United Nations Security Council member states for a briefing from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma, in Nairobi.

The United Kingdom is one of five permanent members of the UN Security Council, with the others being the United States of America, China, France and the Russian Federation.

In addition, there are ten non-permanent members elected for two-year terms by the General Assembly which currently are: Belguim, Côte d’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Germany, Indonesia, Kuwait, Peru, Poland and South Africa.
