KWS seeks investors for proposed zip line

An intent to attract private investors to support a proposed zip line venture, in line with measures by the government to expand tourism experiences in the country, has been announced by Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS).

It has revealed the scenic Sheldrick Falls, in Shimba Hills Game Reserve as its chosen location for the project which would give visitors a bird’s eye view of the lush hilly surroundings from a height of over 250ft.

Rich in flora and fauna, the Shimba Hills Game Reserve also hosts the world’s highest density of African elephants. Other species visitors can see include rare sable antelope, elephant shrew, bushy tailored mongoose, other small mammals like fruit bats and 111 species of bird, 22 of which are endemic to the region.
