BATUK team reach Mount Kenya summit

An adventurous team from the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) have battled through the thin air to reach the Lenana summit of Mount Kenya.

Over the period of 30th Jan – 1st Feb the personnel mentioned mentioned below had the opportunity to take part in an expedition to the summit of Mount Kenya under their

Expedition leader Lance Corporal Buddha, led Captain Park, Lieutenant Birtwell, Staff Sergeant Williams, Sergeant Latusek, Corporal Yagya, Bombardier McCabe, Signalmen Sunill and Bates with Lance Corporals Buddha, Gaurav, Dipesh, Santosh and Dura to the summit in an expedition which took place between 30 January and 1 February.

According to BATUK: “The expedition was arduous, but their will to succeed and camaraderie overcame the challenge, operating well out of the comfort zone to reach the top of Kenya.”
