British Army personnel armed with paint brushes head out on support mission for Kenyan charity

As well as carrying out Exercise Askari Storm with the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK), 1 Lancs Battle Group managed to find the time to head out into the local community to lend a hand to one of the good causes supported by British personnel and their dependents in Kenya.

On this occasion, a team of 10 visited the Mogra Children’s Home in Nairobi, to assist on ‘Because We Care – Nairobi’, which is an ongoing project led by Sian Boyd.

The team helped with decorating, painting and repairing play equipment as well as clearing up the grounds, among other tasks. They also managed to find space in their busy schedule to spend some recreational time with the children they were supporting.

Through their Facebook page, BATUK thanked the team for the “excellent work done this week.”
