On Tuesday, British High Commissioner Nic Hailey welcomed 23 former Chevening Scholars back to Kenya.
Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The scholarships support study at UK universities – mostly one year Master’s degrees – for individuals with demonstrable potential to become future leaders, decision-makers, and opinion formers.
Returning after completing their one year fully-funded Chevening Scholarship Masters degrees, Mr Hailey congratulated the former students on their academic success and urged them to use their influence to promote the Chevening Scholarship to other ambitious young Kenyans.
They now join a community of 430 Chevening Kenyan alumni and a global list of 48,000 global influencers.
