The Gathimba Edwards Foundation (GEF), which supports young people and their families in Kenya are hosting a fundraising dinner on February 16 at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen.

International speakers including Brother Colm O’Connell and Dave Moorcroft OBE will be joined by 400 guests at the event which the charity hopes will raise enough finance to start 32 businesses for families who are supported by GEF in Kenya.

Some of the money raised will also be used to get as many of the 99 children on a waiting list into schools, as well as build a specialist playpark in the north-east of the country.

The last event was held two years ago where the two auctions collectively raised a total of £15,687 and if you are interested in providing items which could be used in either auction, please email Myles or Kayleigh.
