British Chamber of Commerce Kenya (BCCK) Chairman, Graham Shaw MBE, reported receiving “excellent feedback from members” following Nik Nesbitt’s keynote speech on East African trade during a networking breakfast with the East African Business Council (EABC) on Tuesday (22nd January) at the Sankara Nairobi Hotel in Westlands.
Mr Nesbitt was appointed Chair of the East African Business Council in June last year and he is also Chairman of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (Kepsa) and General Manager Eastern Africa, IBM East Africa Limited.
His address to attendees focused on growing trade in the region, how it can be improved and increased, as well as how leadership influences this growth.
Also in attendance was Deputy High Commissioner Susie Kitchens.
Ms Kitchens gave an update to members on the High Commission’s Department for International Trade partnerships, investments and collaborations in Kenya.
