BATUK Taekwondo champion’s fundraising initiative proves to be finger lickin’ good for Nanyuki pupils

As he was about to embark on his successful British Taekwondo National Champion title defence, Lance Corporal (LCpl) Okogie from the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) created a fundraising page on which raised over Ksh 50,000 in just three weeks.

This fantastic response provided the funding to allow the gold medallist to take the children of the Nanyuki Furaha Foundation on a day out to the local Kentucky Fried Chicken branch with the remainder of the money going towards funding educational projects.
