A carol concert organised by UK based charity Farm Africa has raised £7,950 which will be used to support initiatives in Kenya and the surrounding region.

Guests at the annual event, titled Fables and Festivities, heard stories from supporters of the charity, reflections on 2018 and aspirations for the year ahead.

National Farmers’ Union North East Regional Director Adam Bedford also discussed his recent visit to Kenya during which he visited Farm Africa’s Growing Futures project in Kitale and saw green beans being harvested that would be on Aldi shelves in the UK just three days later.
