A pub quiz organised by British charity African Children’s Fund, has raised £147 for the Quentin Junior Academy in Tanzania.

The charity has been holding pub quizzes at the Oxfordshire Yeoman in Freeland since December 2013 and to date they have raised a phenomenal £3,030 for the nursery school that provides a lifeline to families living in poverty, who can work in the knowledge that their children are being safely looked after and having fun too.

Funds raised have contributed towards porridge meals for the children, stationery for their classrooms, rent at the old site and a brand new, purpose built nursery school that opened in the spring of 2018.

Tuesday night’s quiz, the last to be held by the charity at the venue, was won by Team Celebrity Juice from Juice Networking.
