Yesterday, Campbell McDade, Deputy Head of the Department for International Development (DfID) in Kenya, launched the braille version of Kenya’s public participation guidelines.

Speaking at the launch, Mr McDade said: “By publishing the braille version of the public participation guidelines, Kenya joins the vanguard of nations that continue to be responsive to the needs of persons with disabilities.”

The launch follows the commitments made earlier in the year during the global disability summit co-hosted by Kenya and the UK which took place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London and brought together more than 1000 delegates from governments, donors, private sector organisations, charities and organisations of persons with disabilities.
