Two Ely College students who are planning to travel to Nakuru next year to work with Kenyan children have completed a sponsored 96 length swim to help fund their trip.

Katelyn Cross and Rhiannon Moule are among a group of students planning to travel to Kenya in February 2019 in order to help children in poverty.

However, they both need the raise over £1,800 to fund their trips.

During their time in Kenya, the students will help build and repair classrooms and help teach children English and sports.

This was just one of the fundraising activities undertaken by Year 10 students from the college which have included cake sales and car boot sales. Last month students and staff also hosted an African Food and Bingo evening which was well supported.
