Hull based Diplomatic Mission Supplies (DMS) have been in Nairobi this month for their annual Furniture showcase in conjunction with the British High Commission.
The High Commission provided a property for the company to use to display a three bedroomed house pack of their British Trafalgar range in Oak and loose covered sofa sets, which they say is ideal for dusty climates. The range also comprised their handmade Arusha from our Heritage range.
During the Kenya showcase, DMS also launched their Electrical Services Department.
“Nairobi was the perfect location to launch our new Electrical Services Division including supply or fit of LED’s, currently taking over the world as they are so energy efficient, maintenance free and a very cost effective product in areas where electricity is expensive such as Kenya.
“Electrical testing, repairs and installations can be carried out by UK time served Technicians, assuring clients of peace of mind,” the company told Brits in Kenya.DMS Electrical Services Department
For over 20 years, DMS have been an approved supplier to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London, and have shipped products and furniture all over the world. As well as the FCO, the company has established itself as a worldwide Procurement and Logistics specialist to British Embassies, High Commissions, the Department for International Development (DfID) and Ministry Of Defence (MoD).
The company adhere to strict guidelines of manufacture including CMHR (non toxic) foam; FR fabrics & materials and beds / mattresses to CRIB 5 standard which they believe was one of the reasons they had “such a fantastic turnout of intrigued guests.”
“There is though, much more to DMS than just Furniture. We supply everything except food and drink (although we do actually supply ration packs in our Crisis products range) along with Trauma – paramedic – Packs. Lighting, tiles, flooring products; white goods; uniforms and M & E maintenance products are a large percentage of our business, based in the UK.
“We offer Service Without Boundaries; contact us and you’ll find out why we are so successful and expect to gain a good market share of business in this territory as we are already doing business in East Africa,” they told us.
