Prince William met with President Kenyatta today at State House during the final leg of his 3-country African visit.
At today’s meeting, the Prince received a warm welcome from the Kenyan President and the pair’s discussions were primarily focussed on conservation in the country.
Accompanied by UK High Commissioner to Kenya, Nic Hailey, Prince William also briefed President Kenyatta on the Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference to be held in London on October 11 and 12.
During his brief but packed visit to the country, the Duke of Cambridge visited the British Army Training Unit Kenya facility in Laikipia to see first hand the Irish Guards, of which William is a colonel, training alongside Kenyan personnel. He also visited a local school where he handed out sports equipment and donated Aston Villa kits to the local team.
The Duke of Cambridge is returning to Britain today, following his trip to Africa, which has seen him visit Namibia and Tanzania as well as today’s visit to Kenya.
