Gor Maria, managed by British coach Dylan Kerr, have clinched a 17th Kenya Premier League victory by beating arch rivals AFC Leopards 2-0 at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.

Despite fielding an under strength team, Gor cruised to victory and in doing so increased their points tally to an unassailable 71 with six matches left to play.

Goals from Boniface Omondi and Bernard Ondiek in the 31st and 44th minutes gave the Kenyan giants a two-goal cushion at the break.

However, the game had been stopped for five minutes after rowdy Leopards fans began to hurl seats on the pitch side protesting a foul on Baker Lukooya that led to Gor’s second goal.

Gor will next travel to play Algerian side USM Alger on Wednesday for their final Caf Confederation Cup group “D” tie.
