Mohammed Hersi, the Chairman of the Kenyan Tourist Federation, has Tweeted his support for England ahead of their World Cup Quarter Final clash against Croatia tonight.

If Gareth Southgate’s team are successful, the national team will face France in their first World Cup final since winning the competition in 1966.

Posting his thoughts on Twitter, Mr Hersi said: “I wish England team success in tonight’s match.

“I would like to see England lift the cup in the finals. The last time they won I was not even born.

“England has contributed immensely to the world of football through the highly successful EPL. Let the national team also shine.”

His support was welcomed by UK High Commissioner Nic Hailey, who thanked Mr Hersi “from all of us”, adding the #ItsComingHome hashtag.

Replying to another Tweet, Mr Hailey predicted tonight’s game would result in a 2-0 win for England.
