Following her meeting with Governor Mandago yesterday, UK Deputy High Commissioner Susie Kitchens visited EldoHub, an innovation centre focused on technology and social entrepreneurship, where young people are developing new solutions to various challenges.

EldoHub is an I.C.T. and entrepreneurship innovation hub located in Uasin Gishu County in Kenya. They target young, energetic, innovative and creative individuals, to provide them with working space and a platform to interact network with their peers and share ideas.

They welcome young people to a shared co-working space where they can brainstorm and develop ideas and solutions that will benefit their communities as well as those in the surrounding area.

Eldohub also say they believe that “young and upcoming businesses need to be nurtured and coached,” and to facilitate this, they link young people up with experienced mentors from the industry to help them improve and develop their ideas to help reach their full potential.

Following the visit, EldoHub’s Marketing Manager, Dennis Kemmo Tweeted that it was an ‘honour’ to meet the Ms Kitchens during her visit.
