On Friday night, the Boo Charity held their 9th Boo Ball at the Hilton in Bournemouth, during which guests enjoyed a wonderful black tie event which included a 3 course dinner, charity auction and live music, while raising additional funds to support children’s education projects in Kenya.

The 140 guests heard from trustee and sponsor Simon White who shared his very personal journey of sponsoring Cecilia from a 2 year old abandoned baby to reunification with her mother at age 9 years.

Attendees also heard about the wider impact the charity has on the lives of some 500 children each year at a modest cost of £8.76 per child per month.

Boo manage to achieve this as, still after 15 years, they continue to operate with absolutely “Zero Admin Cost” meaning every penny pledged to the charity is spent their projects.
