Nic Hailey enjoys Christmas Carol Service at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi


The UK High Commissioner to Kenya, Nic Hailey, was among the congregation at the All Saints Cathedral Christmas Eve Carol Service in Nairobi.

Tweeting about the service, Nr Hailey described the lessons and carols as “wonderful” and congratulated the Cathedral choir on their performances.

Also among the congregation was New Life Home Trust‘s Guy Bastable who replied to a Tweet by Archbishop of York, Primate of England and Metropolitan John Sentamu, who said: “Let’s raise the roof with our praise & adoration! service of 9 Lessons & Carols starts 4pm.

Respoding to the Archbishop’s Tweet, Guy said: “And did you raise the roof at York? We did here at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi, Kenya.”

The Carol service at All Saints Cathedral was followed at 11pm by the Watchnight Service. On Christmas Day, the Cathedral is hosting seasonal Holy Communion Services at 7am and 10am.

On New Year’s Eve, there will be normal Sunday services and a Watchnight service at 11pm with New Year’s Day Holy Communion Services at 7am and 10am.
