Kenyan snacks on offer at Bank Holiday charity fundraiser

Ellie Glasgow Crowdfunding appeal

Kenyan snacks and an eclectic mix of music are on the menu at a ‘fusion’ pop-up café running at a North Norfolk church hall this bank holiday Monday.

Sheringham teenager Ellie Glasgow, will be hosting the event at West Runton Church Hall which will run from 11am-4pm. The fundraiser will feature stalls, a raffle and home-made cakes, as well as light lunches and afternoon teas.

15-year-old Ellie will be providing the vocals for an entertainment programme during which she will be joined by her friend Kezia Ball and her uncle Malcolm Birtwell on guitar.

The Bank Holiday Monday event is the first of a number of fundraisers organised by the teenager to raise funds towards the £4,000 cost of a Camps International trip to Kenya, run through with a group of students next year.

The expedition will see the pupils from Sheringham High School work on projects helping Kenyan communities access clean water, education and housing.
