British charity volunteer hiking across O2 dome roof for Uzima in Our Hands

Stephanie Hickman O2 hike
Stephanie Hickman is hiking across the roof of the O2 arena in London for Kenyan charity Uzima in Our Hands.

On May 23rd Stephanie Hickman is travelling to London to raise funds for Uzima in our Hands and Roll out the Barrel by taking a hike across the O2 dome roof.

Uzima In Our Hands is an Isle of Wight based Charity supporting the Uzima Orphan and Day Care Centre which is located in the Samia district of Western Kenya

At the centre, 295 children are provided with a basic education and two meals a day. Many of the children helped have lost one or both parents to HIV/AIDS and may also have Special Needs or HIV/AIDS themselves.

Before Uzima’s support began, there was an extreme burden put on the families left to care for the children. Many suffered and died as a result of neglect due to poverty in their community, so the help from the charity is essential.
