British based Boo charity have been presented with a £200 donation after being chosen as the recipient of Rubicon recruitment agency’s charity award for March.

The Boo charity helps Kenyan children who are disadvantaged through economic poverty, providing help in a variety of ways, including food, shelter, health, education, life-skills and emotional support.

Among the projects they support are the Nyamache Seed of Hope centre in Kisii, early childhood centres in in Nyamwanga, Busire, Kibera and Kandara and the St Andrews Baby Unit located in the grounds of Kandara Children’s Home.

“We are always incredibly grateful to receive this type of support from local businesses in the UK. Every single one of these donations make a significantly positive impact and help us continue making a difference in the lives of children and families in Kenya.

“A big thank you to supporter Mark Northey, of Norco Holdings Ltd, who was responsible for submitting Boo’s name to Rubicon. If you know of any similar schemes run by local businesses, please put our name forward!”
