At the close of business, the cake sale had raised £474 for the charity.

This isn’t the only fund raising activity BMEc Sussex are undertaking to raise money for the charity who work with local Kenyan people to educate girls, empower women and transform communities in rural Kenya.

Later this year a team of 7, made up of academics, professional services and students from the School of Business, Management an Economics (BMEc) will be embarking on an exciting challenge, climbing Mount Kenya!

The team, comprised of Alexandra Butcher, Georgie Lott, Halima Ali Akbar, Helen Greaves, Julie Litchfield, Juliet Williams and Karen Brandt are aiming to raise £5,500 and would really appreciate any support you can offer. If you would like to donate to their charity climb, please check out their JustGiving page.
