UK charity’s Kenya projects boosted by London Marathon sponsorship

UK based charity Out of Afrika have announced that they have received an additional £930 sponsorship from Ed Muboro, who completed the London Marathon to raise money for the fund raisers.

The latest donation takes Ed’s total sponsorship to date from his JustGiving page to £2,921 which will be used to support Out of Afrika projects in Kenya.

Ed on completing the London Marathon on 24th April in 3hrs 12secs initially raising £2756 for the charity from sponsorship!

Out of Afrika is a UK based charity which is engaged in Third World projects. They promote education to orphans and disadvantaged children in Africa by increasing self-sufficiency and long term sustainability – which is a great tool of uplifting poverty from in Third World.

Although a small and young charity, Out of Afrika undertake vital work to help transform the lives of young people and their communities through education.

Currently they are sponsoring up to 250 children from rural and under-privileged township of Thika and Ruiru in Kenya by providing education from pre-school to college.

A simple £15 a month will pay to educate a child and supply them with food, medicine, text books and uniform.
