The UK High Commissioner to Kenya, Nic Hailey, formalised British export credit agency UK Export Finance’s (UKEF) membership of the pan-African export credit agency African Trade Insurance (ATI).

This partnership between ATI and UKEF will provide Kenyan buyers and UK suppliers with enhanced access to each other and help identify and promote real business opportunities where companies from both countries can work together.

Today’s announcement was made by the High Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the African Trade Insurance Agency, George Otieno.

The UK is a global leader in many of the sectors for which Kenya has greatest demand including infrastructure, advanced engineering, energy, ICT, and defence and security.

In these and other specialist areas, it is hoped that UK expertise can help accelerate Kenya’s development and economic growth.

UKEF offers flexible financing to British exporters and overseas buyers of UK goods and services.
