Cabinet Secretary Hon. Najib Balala skydived into the #KenyaLive action today, joining the team in dramatic style.

After skydiving out of his plane from approx. 11,000ft, he landed safely on the beach at Watamu.

Mr Balala said the “fantastic” 11,000-foot tandem jump was proof Kenya had “so much to offer” than beautiful beaches and safari, including scuba diving and kite surfing.

For the second part of his visit he went to see the important work of the Local Ocean Trust before helping them to release a rehabilitated sea turtle back into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

Kenya’s famous wildlife and beautiful tropical coastline is being showcased in a series of live web broadcasts using state-of–the-art technology.

#‎KenyaLive‬ has enabled people to witness the excitement of a night safari in the Mara in real time using specialist night-vision equipment and is now in Watamu highlighting the work of the turtle conservation organisation Local Ocean Trust, and other activities including stand-up paddle boarding with dolphins, snorkelling and scuba diving by using the social media application Periscope.
