The long awaited seventh episode of the Star Wars saga is almost here.

Fans around the world have been queuing for tickets and logging on in their thousands to secure tickets online.

The movie is set thirty years after the Galactic Empire’s defeat, when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and his allies face a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his army of Stormtroopers. Star Wars: The Force Awakens reunites original stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C3PO) and Kenny Baker (R2D2) and stars Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata alongside newcomers Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn) and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron).

The film opens in Kenya on Friday 18 December and for those who can’t wait to see the movie, there is a midnight showing at Century Cinemax (Junction) and another thirty minutes later at Anga Sky Cinema.
