Pete Vowles arrives in Kenya to take up DFID role

New Department For International Development (DFID) in Kenya, Pete Vowles, began his new role yesterday after arriving in the country on Friday.

He was welcomed to Kenya by the UK High Commissioner to Kenya, Nic Hailey, on Twitter.

Mr Vowles replaces Lisa Phillips who has left Kenya to become Governor of the St Helena, Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha last month.

His previous post was Head of Programme Delivery (Deputy Director) at the Department for International Development in London where had been leading reforms to transform the way the DFID design and deliver programmes.
